(First Published August 15, 2015) Notice to Bidders The Housing Authority of the City of Joplin will accept sealed bid proposals until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Authority office located at 1834 W 24th Street in Joplin, Missouri 64804, for the following: Repair and Asphalt Overlay of Concrete and Asphalt Parking Lots at properties known as Bartlett Hills, Parr Hill&Leonard Estates II Specifications and bid forms are available from the Housing Authority office by calling (417) 624-4514 or by contacting the Executive Director at the address indicated above. Any bids received after the specified deadline will be returned to the vendor unopened. The Housing Authority reserves the right to evaluate all bids, to reject any or all bids, and to re-bid at a later date. The Authority may waive any irregularities in bids, or negotiate variances from specifications, and may make awards that are in the best interest of the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority will have final decision in all matters regarding acceptance of bids and issuance of awards. This project is subject to federal law with regard to the Davis-Bacon Act and wage rates. All labor utilized in the construction of above improvements shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly wages as established by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations in accordance with the federal Davis Bacon Act, whichever is higher.
