NOTICE TO BIDDERS The East Worcester Fire District of East Worcester, NY will receive sealed Bids for a Project entitled a New Roof For Hose Co. #1 Building Complex, located at 70 Main St. in East Worcester, NY 12064. Bids for the following Contract Proposal is invited for General Construction, including Electrical Construction. Bids will be received by the Secretary of the Fire District, postmarked by October 21, 2015 at the Fire District address of PO Box 606, East Worcester , NY 12064, located in the hamlet of East Worcester, Otsego County, NY. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud on October 22, 2015 at 7 p.m. Proposals are to be mailed to the East Worcester Fire District, PO Box 606, East Worcester, NY, 12064 and must be received by such time as noted above. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 45 calendar days starting fourteen (14_ calendar days after the contract approval date of the East Worcester Fire District. Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at the East Worcester Fire House, 70 Main Street, East Worcester, NY 12064, during the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. On Wednesday, October 7&October 14, 2015. A pre-bid conference and project walk-through will be held on, Wednesday, October 7&14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. with all contractors assembled at the current East Worcester Fire Department, 70 Main St., East Worcester, New York in East Worcester, Otsego County, NY. Failure to attend a walk-through shall not be cause for extra payment. Complete sets of Bidding and Contract Documents may be obtained from the District Secretary, Rhonda L. Ferris, telephone (518) 231-1773. Section 143 of the State Finance law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a $30 non-refundable check made payable to East Worcester Fire District is required, and will include the cost of priority mailing. Overnight service will be available for an additional fee. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. A Bid Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the East Worcester Fire District to encourage minority and women-owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The East Worcester Fire District of East Worcester, NY reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all bids.
