Public Notice - Fire Commissioner Election NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN The Annual Election of Fire District Commissioners, Franklin - Treadwell Fire District, will be held at the Franklin Fire Station, Main Street Franklin, and the Treadwell Fire Station, Roaring Brook Road, Treadwell New York on Tuesday, December 8th between the hours of 6pm and 9pm to elect three (3) Fire Commissioners. One (1) Commissioner for a term of one (1) year beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2016. One (1) Commissioner for a term of two (2) years beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2018. One (1) Commissioner for a term of five (5) years beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2020. The incumbent Commissioner is eligible to succeed himself. All candidates for the office of Fire Commissioner shall file their names with the Clerk of Franklin - Treadwell Board of Fire Commissioners in petition form subscribed by twenty-five (25) qualified electors duly registered with the Delaware County Board of elections, and residents of the Franklin - Treadwell Fire district, inclusive of the Town of Meredith as of 11/10/15. Petitions must be submitted to the Clerk of the Board no later than ten (10) days prior to December 1, 2015. THOSE QUALIFIED TO VOTE AND SIGN THE PETITION FORM; Each voter must be at least 18-years of age, and qualified registered voter who lives in the Franklin - Treadwell Fire District, inclusive of the Town of Meredith, for thirty (30) days preceding the election date of 12/8/2015.
