(First Published October 14, 2018) NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Notice is hereby given that the Director of Public Works of the City of Joplin, Missouri, will accept sealed bids for the following improvements in the City of Joplin, Missouri: JOPLIN STREETS RESURFACING 2019 This project will include 8,180.14 tons of asphalt and 90,819.45 square yards of milling. There will also be 4 alternates totaling 3,815.83 tons of asphalt and 43,361.78 square yards of milling. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Director of Public Works located at 602 S. Main Street, 4th Floor. Bids must be in the hands of said Director of Public Works before 10:00 a.m. on the 8th day of November 2018. A mandatory pre-bid will be held on October 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the 4th floor conference room of City Hall. Bids will be opened by the Director of Public Works in the 4th floor Engineering Conference Room at 10:00 a.m. on the 8th day of November 2018. Specifications will follow current City Standards. Main Street, 4th floor. Wage rates for this project shall be in accordance with the most current wage rate determination made by the Industrial Commission of Missouri on file in the Department of Public Works. A bid bond or certified check for five percent of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an indemnity bond in the amount of his bid and shall before entering on the work of said contract be licensed as a contractor of the City of Joplin, Missouri.
