FA-2018-64 NOTICE OF HEARING APPLICATION FOR TERMINATION OF PARENTAL RIGHTS OF ANY UNKNOWN PUTATIVE FATHER TO: ANY UNKNOWN FATHER OF BABY GIRL TURRENTINE YOU ARE HEREBY notified that an Application for Termination of Parental Rights of Putative Father has been filed in the District Court of Cleveland County, State of Oklahoma, on the 14th day of September, 2018, for the adoption of Baby Girl Turrentine, born August 24th, 2018, of whom you are alleged to be the putative father. A hearing on said Application is set for the 10th day of December, 2018, at 9:15 o’clock A.M. at the Cleveland County District Courthouse, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma, in front of Judge STEPHEN W. BONNER. Said Application alleges that your parental rights to the minor child should be terminated for the reason that you, the alleged putative father, have refused, failed, or neglected to pay for any voluntary support, and that you have not exercised any parental rights or duties or indicated any interest in the child, nor have you supported the birth mother to the best of your ability during her pregnancy. No other person was named as the father on the birth certificate of said child. Neither said putative father nor birth mother is Native American. Therefore, the Indian Child Welfare Act of the United States of America and the State of Oklahoma need not be complied with. It would be in the best interest of the child if the parental rights of any unknown father are terminated and that the adoption be allowed to proceed. YOU ARE THEREFORE NOTIFIED THAT THE COURT WILL HEAR EVIDENCE IN SUPPORT OF AND IN OPPOSITION TO THE GRANTING OF THE APPLICATION AT THE TIME AND PLACE ABOVE SHOWN, WHERE YOU WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PRESENT AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD AT SAID TIME AND PLACE, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE ADOPTION OF SAID CHILD. YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR AT SAID HEARING SHALL CONSTITUTE A DENIAL OF YOUR INTEREST IN THE CHILD, WHICH DENIAL MAY RESULT, WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE TO YOU OF THIS PROCEEDING OR ANY SUBSEQUENT PROCEEDINGS, IN SAID CHILD’S ADOPTION WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT, HEREBY ULTIMATELY TERMINATING YOUR PARENTAL RIGHTS TO SAID CHILD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA.
