NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF MINERAL WELLS, TEXAS PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Mineral Wells will conduct a public hearing on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the City of Mineral Wells City Hall Annex located at 115 SW 1st Street, Mineral Wells, TX 76067 to consider testimony and make a recommendation on the agenda items below and the Mineral Wells City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the City of Mineral Wells City Hall Annex located at 115 SW 1st street, Mineral Wells, TX 76067 to receive Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation, consider testimony, and act upon the following agenda items: P&Z Case 2018-16: Applicant, Best of American Art Inc., is requesting a replat of 1.68 acres, being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of Block 20 of the Pasadena Heights Addition, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas, to Lots 1 R, 2R, and 3R, Block 20 of the Pasadena Heights Addition, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas; P&Z Case 2018-17: Applicants, David Hawes, Shirley Hawes, and Donna Michelle Friend, are requesting the abandonment of the following portions of roads: A) Closing of Northeast 10th Street, Northeast 5th Avenue and North Street-Begin at northwest corner of Block 1 of Altamont Addition, according to plat recorded in Volume 24, Page 498 of the Deed Records of Palo Pinto County, Texas; thence to a point in line with the south line of Block 9 of McCracken Heights Addition, according to plat recorded in Volume 25, Page 487 of said Deed Records; thence West to the southeast corner of said Block 9; thence North to the northeast corner of said Block 9 and in the south line of a certain 29.479 acres tract described in Volume 2013, Page 166 of the Official Public Records of Palo Pinto County, Texas; thence East to the southeast corner of said 29.479 acres tract; thence South to the northeast corner of Block 2 of said Altamont Addition; thence West to the northwest corner of said Block 2; thence South to the southwest corner of said Block 2; thence East to the southeast corner of said Block 2; thence South to the northeast corner of said Block 1; thence West to the beginning, and B) Closing of Northeast 15th Street- That portion lying between Blocks 79 and 80 in Slaughter & Barber North Addition to the City of Mineral Wells, according to plat recorded in Volume 1, Page 88 of the Plat Records of Palo Pinto County, Texas, P&Z Case 2018-18: Ordinance amending the City of Mineral Wells Zoning Ordinance to adopt regulations relating to the sale of all alcoholic beverages, including mixed beverages, within the City in various zoning districts, including without limitation, the LB - Local business district, C – Commercial district, CBD – Commercial district, LI – Light industrial district, and HI - Heavy industrial district, and other zoning districts determined appropriate, providing Use Regulations, including without limitation, amendments to the Specific Use Permit regulations, amendments to administrative regulations, including distance measurements, and amendments to permit regulations, and providing other appropriate regulations for the orderly regulation of land within the City of Mineral Wells; All interested citizens and property owners of the City, as well as other persons of interest, are invited to attend the public hearings and participate in the same.   Also, any such interested persons may express his or her opinion concerning the proposed text amendments by forwarding a letter addressed to the City of Mineral Wells, Attn. City Clerk, P.O. Box 460, Mineral Wells, Texas 76068. ADJOURN
