Published in the Tahlequah Daily Press on November 21, 2018 IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE CHEROKEE NATION JUVENILE DIVISION In the Matter of: M.A.D., D.O.B.: 05/11/2018 AN ALLEGED DEPRIVED CHILD. CASE NO. JD-18-28 NOTICE OF HEARING THE CHEROKEE NATION TO: Unknown father of M.A.D. You are hereby notified that a petition has been filed in this Court, requesting the Court adjudicate the above minor child, M.A.D., as deprived as defined by Title 10, Section 1101(10) of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated. You are additionally notified this matter is set for Adjudication and Disposition, at which time a case plan will be entered to assist you in correcting the conditions which led to the deprivation of the minor child, if the Court finds the child is deprived. You are notified that you may intervene in the case and request an additional twenty (20) days from the date of this publication to prepare for the proceeding and further extensions may be granted with court approval. You are notified to appear before this Court located in the W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex, 2nd Floor, 17675 S. Muskogee Ave., Tahlequah, OK 74464 on the 21st day of December, 2018 at 9:00 o'clock, a.m. To answer the allegations in the petition filed May 22nd, 2018, alleging the minor child is deprived due to failure to protect the child,neglect, cruelty, or depravity. You are advised the respondent parents, guardian or custodian and each minor child is entitled to be represented by an attorney at each and every stage of these proceedings and if a state of indigency exist such parties are entitled to a court appointed attorney, all of which at public expense. FAILURE TO APPEAR AT THIS HEARING CONSTITUTES CONSENT TO THE ADJUDICATION OF THE MINOR CHILD AS DEPRIVED AND CONSENT TO THE CASE PLAN AND MAY ULTIMATELY RESULT IN LOSS OF CUSTODY OF THIS CHILD OR THE TERMINATION OF YOUR PARENTAL RIGHTS TO THIS CHILD. /S/ Crystal Jackson Judge of the District Court of the Cherokee Nation
