INVITATION TO BID RECEIPT OF BIDS Sealed bids for the Clearing, Furnishing, and Installing boundary fencing and associated materials project will be received at the City of Mineral Wells, 115 SW 1st Street, Mineral Wells, Texas 76068 until 10:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 and shortly thereafter the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at the same address. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work consists of the clearing, clipping, and disposing of existing fence, trees, snags, logs, brush, stumps, shrubs, and rubbish from 50 feet of the property boundary, unless otherwise specified, and windrowling or scattering all vegetative material 75-100 feet from the property boundary. The fence line shall be cleared to bare mineral soil at a width of 8 feet from the property boundary, unless otherwise noted. The fence is to be installed 2 feet inside of the legal boundary. The fence will consist of 5 strands of barbed wire attached to metal posts as detailed in the fencing specification. TYPE OF BID Bid shall be on a firm lump sum basis for the Bid Items identified in the Bid Form. OWNER’S RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS The Palo Pinto County MWD No. 1 reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and/or all bids. Bids may be held by the PPCMWD No. 1 for a period not to exceed (90) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the Bidders’ qualifications prior to the contract award.
