STATE OF ALABAMA, LIMESTONE COUNTY, CITY OF ATHENS. Notice is hereby given that the following Ordinance will be considered by the City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, at its regular meeting to be held on July 27, 2015 in the Council Chambers of the Athens Police Department at 951 E. Hobbs Street, in the City of Athens, Alabama, at 5:30 p.m., and at such time and place, all persons who desire shall have an opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of the following proposed Ordinance. AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE PROPERTY FOR WILLIE BURTON FROM THE AG (AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT TO THE R-MH (MANUFACTURED HOME RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT. PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON CALVIN PRIVATE DRIVE STATE OF ALABAMA, LIMESTONE COUNTY, ORDINANCE NUMBER 2015 - __________ CITY OF ATHENS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, has heretofore adopted, “The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Athens, Alabama,” and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Athens, Alabama, has made a recommendation to the City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, that the hereinafter described area should be rezoned from the AG (Agricultural) District to the R-MH (Manufactured Home Residential) District. The City Council of the City of Athens, Alabama, finds that “The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Athens, Alabama,” should be amended so as to rezone the hereinafter described area as “MC”. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATHENS, ALABAMA, as follows: That all of the hereinafter described area or real estate is hereby zoned “R-MH (Manufactured Home Residential) District” in accordance with and defined by “The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Athens, Alabama,” and that the area which is zoned as aforesaid is situated in Athens, Limestone County, Alabama, and is more particularly described as follows: A tract or parcel of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 2 South, Range 4 West, Limestone County, Alabama, also being a part of Lot No. 3 of the McKissack Heirs Division as recorded in the Probate Office of Limestone County, Alabama, in Plat Book A, page 2, particularly described as beginning at the southeast corner of Section 33, Township 2 South, Range 4 West; thence north along the east boundary of Section 33 for a distance of 328.00 feet to a point; thence run north 87 degrees 07 minutes west for a distance of 1647.4 feet to a concrete monument being the true point of beginning of the herein described real estate; thence continue north 87 degrees 07 minutes west for a distance of 228 feet to an iron pin; thence run north 6 degrees 56 minutes east for a distance of 177.31 feet to an iron pin in the south margin of a 35-foot ingress and egress easement; thence run north 88 degrees 07 minutes west and along the south margin of said easement for a distance of 280.60 feet to an iron pin on the east right of way margin of Elkton Road; thence run north 05 degrees 23 minutes east and along the east right of way margin of Elkton Road for a distance of 35 feet to an iron pin; thence run south 88 degrees 07 minutes east and along the north boundary of above said easement for a distance of 310.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run north 05 degrees 20 minutes east for a distance of 115.38 feet to an iron pin; thence run south 87 degrees 07 minutes east for a distance of 179.50 feet to a TVA boundary marker; thence run south 02 degrees 53 minutes west for a distance of 328.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
