Invitation for Bids The Otsego Land Trust (OLT) invites bid submissions Access Improvements at Brookwood Point, 6000 State Highway 80, Town of Otsego for road improvements, including a new asphalt paved entrance off NYS Route 80, reconditioned gravel drive, improved traffic flow and gravel parking areas for vehicles as well as entrance and parking signage. A voluntary pre-bid site visit is scheduled at the site for December 21, 2015 and January 5, 2016 at noon. The project is being progressed through the New York State Department of Transportation Improvement Program under PIN SB07.10 DO33842. All work shall be in strict conformance with all NYSDOT and Federal Aid Requirements and governed by the NYSDOT Standard Specification Section 100- General Provisions and Section 200 thru 700- Technical Specifications. Complete sets of the specifications and bid forms may be obtained from Otsego Land Trust, 101 Main Street, Pioneer Alley, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Contract documents will only be provided electronically on a Compact Disc (CD). CD's may be obtained at no cost. Hard copies of the full and partial plan sets will NOT be distributed. Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Otsego Land Trust office, 101 Main Street, Pioneer Alley, Cooperstown, NY 13326. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form and Bid Summary Form or an exact reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope along with ONE (1) Copy with the following clearly marked on the front of the envelope: Bidders Name and Address Brookwood Point Access Improvement Date and Time of Bid Opening Sealed bids will be received by Marcie Foster, Stewardship Manager, Otsego Land Trust, 101 Main Street, P.O. Box 173, Cooperstown, NY 13326 until 10:00 am, Thursday, January 14, 2016 and will be publically opened and read aloud at 11AM at the Otsego Land Trust office. Bids can be submitted in advance to Otsego Land Trust, Attn: Marcie Foster, P.O. Box 173, Cooperstown, NY 13326. Bids received via "overnight" or "express" mail after this time will not be opened and will be returned to the bidder. Such bids shall not be considered. The bid should not include sales and/or compensating use taxes on materials incorporated in the work. Bidders should be aware that alternate bidding will be used, as described in sheet BS-4 of the project Proposal. Bidders must submit the total gross sum for the base bid, plus a total sum for each of the bid alternates A through E. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Opportunity clause issued by the Secretary of Labor of May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41 CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). Owners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to regards all nonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids. Contract requirements may be fulfilled by a subcontracting arrangement.
