Colliersville (Goodyear Lake) Hydroelectric Project Milford, New York Emergency Warning Horn The Colliersville (Goodyear Lake) Hydroelectric Project will be testing the project's Emergency Action Plan alarm horn on a monthly basis. The alarm horn will be sounded on the first Wednesday of every month in the evening at 5:00 pm. The alarm horn will be sounded for approximately three minutes. The alarm horn is located in the Village of Colliersville at the corner of State Highway 7 and D K Lifgren Drive. THIS IS ONLY A TEST The Goodyear Lake Dam is in good condition and is routinely inspected. While it is highly unlikely that a dam failure would occur, it is important that a periodic test of the alarm system be performed to assure its proper operation in the event of an actual emergency. The alarm horn would warn persons downstream of the Goodyear Lake Dam to immediately evacuate low-lying areas along the Susquehanna River. Members of the Otsego County Office of Emergency Services, Oneonta and Milford Fire Departments and the Otsego County Sheriff's Department would assist in the event an actual evacuation is necessary.
